Lower limb model development for pedal clutching
Ergonomic evaluation of a product often requires building a physically-based prototype to provide discomfort assessment and ease of use. The aim of this research is developing a method for processing motion analysis data (including motion capture, maximum torques, pedal clutching forces and corresponding EMG data) to estimate joint reaction forces and torques together with selected muscle activities and contraction forces. Developed approaches are based on constrained dynamical multibody model for virtual prototyping of the measured and predicted-by-model motion characteristics.
